The Pharmacy.
Yup. Had to have it.
These are two restaurants that I wish I lived a whole lot closer to instead of 7 hours away.
Y'all, we hit it out of the ballpark on Friday with our food selections. By we, I mean me, cause I picked out both places based on recommendations from friends and I'm kind of impressed with myself.
We went to Fido Cafe Friday morning for brunch.
I was all set to have two pancakes with a side of bacon when Patrick pointed out this deliciousness at the counter:

Yup. Had to have it.
I was very plain {anyone surprised?} and had the croissant, one pancake, and a side of bacon. But... all of it was so good!
Patrick had the Bubba Scramble {scrambled eggs, poblano peppers, red onion, jack & cheddar cheese, salsa, sour cream, cheesy grits and toast}
Zander had the Steak Scramble {marinated flank steak, scrambled eggs, roasted red onions, spinach, jack & cheddar cheese, salsa, sour cream, hashbrowns and toast}
We left and needed to walk the million miles around Vandy's campus after a brunch like that!
Later that night, one of my friends said she was going to The Pharmacy for burgers for dinner. Well I had been craving a burger all day, so I suggested to Patrick & Zander that we go there for dinner. Little did I know that when Google said that the place was "4.5 miles away" it really meant that this place was across the river in East Nashville.
Totally worth the effort to get there though. And the wait.
We all had a drink at Holland House Bar & Refuge while we were waiting on our table. The drinks here were good but a little more expensive than I thought they were worth. After about a 45 minute wait, our table was ready at The Pharmacy so we walked back over there to grab dinner.
I know that Patrick had the Stroganoff Burger but I can't remember what Zander had.
I ended up making my own burger {cheddar cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce, & a side of fries with garlic aioli sauce}

So freakin' delicious.
If you're planning a trip to Nashville, you absolutely have to go to these two restaurants. Both were really good, not too pricey, and had great service.
Plus, almost a week later, I'm still thinking about that burger from Pharmacy...
That breakfast looks so, so good!
ReplyDeleteI went to Fido's when I was in Nashville this summer! Had their pancakes. YUM! I'll have to check out The Pharmacy if I ever make it back!
