True story: I don't make New Year's resolutions. Why do you have to wait until the beginning of a new year to change things in your life? Doesn't make much sense.
But I do love New Years Eve and all the hoopla that comes with it. My very favorite way to celebrate is usually with a bowl win {check!}, good friends {check!}, and excellent food & drink {check, check!}. I believe it was a New Years Eve a few years back when I was introduced to all the amazingness that is Sausage Dip...
Anyway.

First things first: Happy Birthday, Laurel!
I have the day off today and I'm ready to head back to Charlotte to start the birthday celebrations.
{two}
Taking today off from work was probably one of the best decisions that I've made all year {all day?} because not having to drive back to Charlotte yesterday was fantastic. I got to sleep in, watch all the football I wanted to, and spend a little extra time with Patrick before tax season takes over.

Let's talk about how the Panthers are not only in the playoffs, but they also have a home playoff game with a losing record. How in the world does that happen? But hey, go Panthers!
... at least for the first game. Won't be able to cheer for them if they make it past this weekend because then they'll be playing against the Seahawks. Sorry, Cam, gotta go with Russell & the 12s on this one.

I chopped off my hair.
Oh boy.
This was pretty big considering it's been years {like 15} since I've had my hair this short. But I told myself and my hair girl that we'd cut my hair the Wednesday after my half marathon if...
a) I ran the whole thing
b) I had enough to donate
&
c) if she could promise me it would NOT be as disastrous as the last two short hair cuts I've had
I didn't tell anyone what I was doing, so it was a lot of fun to pop up and surprise people with it at work the next day and when I went home for Christmas.
