Is anybody noticing a trend with my weekends yet?
Summertime + living 2 hours closer to Kiawah = lots of Kiawah weekends in my near future!
We had a “parent free” night in the house on Friday and I took complete advantage of it. A sunset drink down at the beach, quick dinner, and FINALLY watched Pitch Perfect. It was a wild night ;)
Woke up Saturday morning and decided to try and squeeze in a run and some biking before hanging out on the beach for the remainder of the day. You know what doesn't mix, like at all?
Heat + humidity + running. No, thank you.
We biked up to Freshfields for a little breakfast at Java Java City.
The remainder of my day looked a little something like this:
A good book, good company, and lots of sunshine.
Saturday night was all about a few more drinks down on the beach while watching the sunset and then grilling up chicken for fajitas. I don't know about y'all but I have the worst time with fajitas! I always put too much stuff in the shell and end up making a huge mess while eating it. Oops?
Sunday, it was almost too pretty to leave. My mom and I biked up and down the beach during the morning and then took our chairs and a book down to the beach to soak up a little more sun.
I was able to end my weekend on Sunday night with Patrick. Cooked up a delicious dinner of teriyaki chicken, veggies, and rice and for once, I wasn't in a hurry to get back on the road to Charlotte. It was nice to be able to relax and get ready for the week without that extra 2 hours in the car back to Charlotte.
Hope y’all had a great weekend, too!
This looks amazing!!!! And yes, the fajita problem... I secretly like the filling the most though, so I think it's karma
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect weekend!! We LOVE Java Java City! Could the beach be any more pristine??
ReplyDeleteIs this your first time reading the "Harry Potter" books? I love them; there is so much more detail than in the movies, and more sides to each character.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! I just found out I'll be going to Kiawah for a bachelorette party in July and I'm pretty pumped :)
ReplyDeleteI can't say I blame you! If I lived that close to Kiawah I'd totally be there every weekend too! Your pictures are so gorgeous, it makes me want to go there!
