Not only did the time change this weekend but Mother Nature decided to get in on the fun and throw us a dreary, foggy, rainy week all week. It's like I've been living in Seattle without the perks that come with actually living in Seattle.
Crossing my fingers that we get some sunshine sometime in the near future!
Linking up for another Five on Friday with April.

Because we all know what my favorite thing about the number one is this week.
That's right. Clemson is the #1 ranked team in the entire country. It's kind of weird if you ask me. The only other time that they have been ranked #1 was back in '81 when they were the National Champions. It's been 34 {very long} years since then.
I'll get to see history being made on Saturday when I watch the Tigers run down the hill. Although they were ranked #1 previously, they have never played a home game in Death Valley with that #1 ranking. So regardless of how the game ends or where Clemson is ranked come Tuesday, I still get to see something pretty special in the valley on Saturday.

What's even more bizarre than Clemson being the #1 team in the country is that the Panthers are 7-0 and one of only 4 undefeated teams in the NFL.
Uh..., gee, thanks Panthers. I'm so glad you waited until after I left Charlotte to get your act together. No, I'm not bitter at all about that.

Our engagement pictures are officially four weeks from today.
It took a few tries to find the right wedding photographer who was available on our day next July, but I am so glad that we found the one we did. She was 100% on board with my slightly outside of the box engagement picture idea and I couldn't be more excited to get these pictures taken.
Now, I just need someone to come put together a couple of outfits for me to wear for said pictures because I'm failing miserably at that over here.

Columbia has two new restaurants that have opened up in the Vista recently: Newk's Eatery & Tin Lizzy's Cantina.
I've got plans to check out both of them next week. Can't wait to see if I love them as much as I love the last two new restaurants in the Vista {Old Chicago & Grill Marks}!

All things Christmas apparently happen in November around here and I'm definitely ok with starting off the Christmas season early. Check back next week to see what all I plan on getting into over the next few weeks. You can bet that if there are Christmas lights involved, I'll be there!

Happy SOLID ORANGE Friday! Go Tigers! Beat FSU!

Ohhh- can't wait to hear about the engagement pictures! The day we took ours... I was so grouchy, running late, and may or may not have snuck a couple beers before we started. BUT I LOVE THE WAY THEY LOOK NOW!
ReplyDeleteNewks is so good! We just got one too!
ReplyDeleteSooo excited to see your engagement photo idea!! We loved having the engagement photos as a trail run and "get to know you" with our photographer so that the wedding day was just all fun. SO awesome about the Panthers and Tigers. Have an awesome time at the game!!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea they were #1 that's awesome!! I'm so excited for your engagement pictures - they are going to be wonderful! Happy Friday! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteGo Tigers!! You must try the Newk's favorite salad- possibly my favorite restaurant salad ever!! I love love love Newk's.
ReplyDeleteThis Gator hopes you crush FSU!! :) Good Luck this weekend and can't wait to see your "out of the box" engagement pics!
ReplyDeleteSo excited for your Tigers! (And I'm really excited Ohio State isn't number 1 anymore...I hate them!) Good luck this weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteyay engagement photos! how exciting, and i can't wait to see your out of the box ideas. yay for your team being #1!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I found your blog! You're so cute!! I cannot believe that Clemson is #1...when I was in college (2001 - 2005) at Elon, they were AWFUL. We used to go visit friends, and the games were always jokes, so we just tailgated all/day night. My, how times have changed. :) I can't wait to read more!
ReplyDeleteI tried both Tin Lizzy's and Newk's this week, perk of working in the Vista. I got the shrimp skillet at Lizzy's and it was really good and so are the chips! The mac and cheese at Newk's was pretty darn good as well. Can't wait to see this out of the box engagement pictures.
ReplyDeleteSo excited about the Panthers! I've never been a huge NFL fan but since moving to Charlotte I've started to care a little more and they're making it easy!
ReplyDeleteAlso, both Pineville and uptown Charlotte put up decorations this week - tis the season!!
Happy Weekend!
