Hellooooo, December!
It's officially the start of my second favorite month of the year {because July will always be #1} and I am so excited about all of the holiday happenings going on over the next few weeks. We're kicking things off with an Ugly Christmas Sweater Oyster Roast at our friends' house tonight and an ACC Championship watch party tomorrow evening. Can't wait!
Linking up with April for another edition of Five on Friday.

First things first: GO TIGERS!
Tomorrow they are taking on Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship game down in Orlando. I'm only a tiny bit bitter over the fact that the game was relocated the other month from Charlotte... because now we aren't attending. I am definitely missing my ACC Championship 5K and the tailgate/game experience.
Anyway. Go Tigers! Beat Virginia Tech!

Yes, to answer your question, I'm still a little obsessed with our Christmas tree. Just a tiny bit.
We did pick up the perfect ornament-turned-tree topper, too. Looks just like those crazy lights that we have all of our house, right?

Because I can never get enough of Christmas trees or lights or Main Street, Patrick and I headed downtown last night to First Thursday on Main and the Governor's Carolighting at the State House. Both events made for the perfect midweek date night.
However, we definitely missed the lights being turned on because after waiting for 45 minutes, we were over it, and we walked down Main Street in search of some food and a drink.

Want to know what else makes for the perfect midweek date night? A stop by Lula Drake's, the new wine bar that just opened up this week on Main Street.
We popped in for a quick stop last night and y'all, I will definitely be back. What's not to love about this cute place? Plus, the glass of wine that I had here last night was absolutely delicious and I still haven't managed to stop talking about it.

I'm taking on this beast this weekend:
It is in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint, especially now that the rest of the house has been painted. It's going to get painted the exact same color as all of the trim/doors in the house {SW Bohemian Lace} and I hope that it dries quickly so I can get our stockings hung back up!

Happy Friday! GO TIGERS! Beat VT!
