Confession: I have a problem. I like to do all of the things.
... which is how I found myself taking photographs at a 4pm lakeside wedding, attending a different 5:30pm wedding across town, and hosting a baby shower less than 24 hours later on Sunday.
You could say that it was a busy weekend around here.
I really, really wanted to throw in another trip up to Clemson this week to go to the National Championship parade Saturday morning but you know, logic kicked in and I decided that probably wasn't the best idea. It looks like everyone {all 70,000 of you} who went had fun though!
Back to Friday: we found our motivation and some time to get some painting done around the house last week. We finished painting the trim/doors in our kitchen, were finally able to hang up blinds in the window over our sink, and got some closet shelves cleaned up/painted Friday evening.
We are so close to knocking out a few other things around the house, too. The trim in the smaller guest bedroom is almost ready to be painted. Patrick has picked out a paint color & purchased the paint for the future mancave downstairs. I'm ready to {finally} tackle painting our fireplace this week.
Enough of the house for now - y'all are getting a full house update post later this week {hopefully}. Let's move on to all of the celebrations we photographed, attended, & hosted this weekend!
Wedding # 1: Terry & Katie. Katie was sweet enough to ask me to come photograph their special day. They had a small ceremony on the edge of Lake Murray and it was such a perfect day for the two of them.
Just a little sneak peek for now...
Wedding #2: Amy & Brandon. Amy and I go wayyyy back to our high school youth group days so it was especially fun watching her tie the knot with Brandon.
I have entirely too much fun with these people. There was a lot of {questionable} dancing, a good amount of celebrating, quite a few pictures, and so much fun Saturday night.
& then we wrapped up the weekend with a baby shower for Laura & Baby Boy M.
At the end of the day, it was a really good weekend. But want to know what happens when I try to do all of the things, otherwise known as burning the candle at both ends? I spend all of Monday on the couch at home with some medicine, a box of tissues, and a big cup of water trying to kick some sort of cold/sinus infection. Ugh. Lesson learned. Don't do all of the things.
Happy Tuesday, y'all!

I hear you about trying to do all the things! It looks like such a fun weekend though - feel better!
ReplyDeleteWe had to paint the trim and the doors in our ENTIRE house. We haven't touched the window frames because they're covered by curtains lol. It was a HUGE undertaking so I definitely can relate to the joy and elation of getting that done!
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen looks amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate on wanting to do all of the things :) Last year was madness to I decided 2017 will be the year I do less. Love your blog by the way!
