Y'all know that I never need an excuse to go to Riverbanks Zoo. But the annual Wine Tasting in the Botanical Gardens is a pretty good reason to spend a Friday evening there!
The weather was absolutely perfect {even if it was a tad bit humid} to do some wine tasting. We were up for the challenge. By "we", I mean Patrick, my friend Laurel, and my parents. I did not manage to get a single decent picture of any of us but that just means that we were too busy tasting all of the wines.
If you haven't been before, it's a great event. They have different wine {& craft beer} stations scattered throughout the garden and Waterfall Junction. You pick up your wine glass, your guidebook, and a pencil when you walk in the gates. I set out with my book and was on a mission to see what new wines that I could find to try.
These are the ones that I ended up liking the most:
San Angelo Pinot Grigio
Ramon Bilbao Crianza
La Broccesca Vina Nobile Montepulciano
13 Celsius Sauvignon Blanc
Nobilo Icon Sauvignon Blanc
Kung Fu Girl Reisling
Dazante Pinot Grigio
Signs of a good time? All of the empty wine bottles that each station was racking up.
It was another wonderful night at the zoo - cheers!
Great fundraiser for the zoo!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun event - I love this!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! Our little local zoo had a wine tasting in the fall but I couldn't do, but it's definitely on my calendar for next year!
ReplyDeleteOooh! Right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteThis event sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe space is spectacular and this venue is just what we needed for our event. It is the best place to have an event and we had an awesome experience here. The staff at Seattle venues is excellent; they are so attentive to all of your needs.
