#SummerOfFun Bucket List

Oh hey, First Day of Summer!

It feels only slightly ridiculous to talk about today being the first day of summer when it's been summer around Columbia for the last two months. I was in the ocean in April and the closed toed shoes have been packed away for months.

Patrick and I have big plans for our summer this year. This is the summer that we've deemed "summer of fun" and we're on a mission to make the most of it.

Celebrate July 4th on Kiawah.

There is no better place to be on the 4th than Kiawah and I'm especially excited for this year because my two favorite people to celebrate the 4th with are making it back to Kiawah this year after a brief hiatus last summer.

Take a mini-vacation to Charleston.

All I want for my birthday this year is a trip down to Charleston. Two days in the Holy City to play downtown with my camera, to pop into a brewery or five, and to toast #29 on the Vendue Rooftop Bar. Patrick just booked our hotel for this one and I'm counting down the days until we go!

Watch the Solar Eclipse.

Have you heard? Columbia is the place to be on August 21 this year when we get almost 3 full minutes of a solar eclipse. They're predicting one million people will come to Columbia for the event.

Mid-Week Happy Hour(s)

We get a big ol' checkmark for this one already. Patrick and I have been focusing on getting at least one happy hour a week for the two of us and one happy hour with our respective friends. Summer was made for catching up with friends and each other over drinks, right? Right.

Hang out with the Fireflies.

So far this season, we've been to 3 games plus the All Star Home Run Derby and we've got plans to go to a game this Friday with friends. I may have even upgraded my Fireflies t-shirt and purchased a #15 shirt {because we all love #15}

Visit Asheville.

Patrick and I are celebrating our anniversary in Asheville this year and we'll also be spending a weekend up there with his family. I see quite a few breweries in our future and hopefully a tubing trip down the river {like Kristina did}!

Charlotte breweries to celebrate the end of tax season = check & check & check!

Cornelius brewery to celebrate our favorite Parker = check!

Charleston breweries for my birthday = on the calendar

Asheville breweries for our anniversary = on the calendar
